Department Welcome and Overview
Medicine Spring Library meets the college mission in many ways. The library has three purposes: to serve as the academic library for the college; to serve as a community library for the Blackfeet Reservation; to hold the Blackfeet community archives. Through the library BFCC has been able to meet the needs of the “universal community” through outreach, programming, and partnerships.
Goals set by the library include:
- Providing educational materials for college students
- Meet the information needs of the Blackfeet community regardless of location
- Provide quality programming in the following areas: information instruction, community collections and archives, literacy, and arts and crafts
- Collect and care for Blackfeet community records and information
- Share resources widely
