USDA Tribal Extension Arbor Day Event 2026

April 28, 2026

Thank you to the Little Learners, Kindergarten, and 1st through 5th grade students, along with your teachers, for the opportunity to come together in such meaningful reflection on Arbor Day 2026. Your presence and participation made this gathering truly special. From our forested lands to our prairie landscapes, these places have long sustained our people and continue to shape our culture, spirit, and identity. This connection resonates deeply and reminds us of the responsibility we share —especially for our youth.

A special thank you to all of our partners for demonstrating to our youth the importance of balance, renewal, and responsibility. Your commitment to stewardship—grounded in the example of our ancestors—helps guide us in protecting these lands for the generations to come within the Blackfeet Nation.

On behalf of the Blackfeet Community College Extension Program, we extend our appreciation to the Blackfeet Environmental Office; Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation; FAST Blackfeet; Piikani Lodge Health Institute; Browning High School; Montana Urban Community Forestry Association; and the BFCC Institutional Development and Maintenance Facility. Your collaboration and dedication make a lasting impact and inspire thoughtful action.

Thank you again for sharing your perspectives on Arbor Day and for the care and intention behind your message. It is an honor to reflect on these values together and to carry them forward in both word and action.
