Principles of Energy Training: Exploring Renewable Solutions
Blackfeet Community College invites community members, students, and local partners to join the Principles of Energy Training on November 18th, 2025 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Blackfeet Housing Authority (1200 SW Boundary St, Browning). This free, one-day training provides a hands-on introduction to different types of energy and technologies, offering valuable insight into how energy systems impact our communities and environment.
Participants will explore the pros and cons of different energy sources, gain hands-on experience with solar panels, and learn more about tribal utility formation and energy sovereignty. This session is designed for everyone—no prior experience or technical background required. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning how renewable energy can support self-sufficiency and sustainability across the Blackfeet Nation.
The event is hosted in collaboration with Resilient Energy Solutions, Iniskim Consulting, and Blackfeet Community College, with breakfast and lunch provided for all attendees. Together, these partners are helping expand access to energy education and empower participants to take part in shaping a more sustainable future.
