First Annual Workforce Expo Connects Students With Career Opportunities
The first-ever Workforce Expo was successfully held this week through a collaborative effort between the Blackfeet Community College Workforce Development Department, Blackfeet TERO, and the Montana Department of Labor & Industry.
The event was created to provide students with the opportunity to explore a variety of career paths and engage directly with professionals from different industries in a hands-on and interactive environment. Businesses and organizations from across multiple fields set up booths that allowed students to learn more about available career opportunities, ask questions, and participate in activities that showcased what different professions have to offer.
Students from Browning Middle School, Browning High School, Heart Butte High School, and De La Salle attended the event, bringing nearly 700 students together for a day focused on career exploration and future planning.
Throughout the expo, students were able to gain a broader understanding of workforce opportunities while discovering how engaging and rewarding different career paths can be. The event emphasized the importance of early career exposure and creating meaningful connections between students, education, and industry professionals.
A special thank you goes to Browning High School for hosting the event and helping make the first annual Workforce Expo a success.
Organizers are already looking ahead to next year with plans to expand the event and provide even more opportunities for students across the community.
