Event: Voices of Strength - Domestic Violence Awareness and the Launch of the Bright Sky Initiative
Thursday, November 20, 2025 | 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM | BFCC Student Commons
Blackfeet Community College invites students, faculty, and community members to attend Voices of Strength, a Domestic Violence Awareness Event launching the Bright Sky Initiative—a community-based program focused on promoting safety, awareness, and healing.
The Bright Sky Initiative, funded by the Vodafone Americas Foundation, provides tools and resources to help individuals recognize the signs of domestic violence and respond safely. This initiative engages communities across the Western Region in addressing domestic violence as a critical public health concern through education, dialogue, and collective action.
During the Voices of Strength event, attendees will hear from a panel of survivors of domestic violence who will share their experiences and perspectives. The program will also include a community dialogue to promote understanding, awareness, and healing. Food and beverages will be provided.
This event is made possible through collaboration between Blackfeet Community College, Bright Sky, Blackfeet Domestic Abuse Program, Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP), Sukapi Lodge, Blackfeet Tribal Behavioral Health, and Crystal Creek Lodge. Together, these partners are working to strengthen community responses to domestic violence, support survivors, and encourage ongoing healing within the community.
