AIHEC Health Sciences Summer Institute Now Accepting Applications

The American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC) is currently accepting applications for its third annual Health Sciences Summer Institute (HSSI). This four-week summer program is hosted in partnership with the University of North Dakota’s Indigenous Health Department and is designed to introduce Tribal College and University (TCU) students to opportunities in health research and Indigenous health careers.

The program welcomes currently enrolled and recently graduated TCU students from all majors who are interested in exploring pathways in health sciences. Participants will gain valuable exposure to research topics, career options, and the important role Indigenous communities play in shaping the future of healthcare.

Opportunities like the Health Sciences Summer Institute help students learn more about the growing field of Indigenous health while building skills and connections that can support future educational and career goals.
