04 May Support our nursing program!
Sponsor Nursing Instructor Keith McDivitt as he bikes for students during the 100-mile Elephant Rock Ride in Castle Rock, Colorado on June 5th, 2016. Every dollar raised will be donated to the BCC Nursing Program, supporting funds needed for student travel and lodging for clinical training across the state of Montana.
Per mile pledges:
- $0.25 per mile ($25 for 100 miles)
- $0.50 per mile ($50 for 100 miles)
- $1.00 per mile ($100 for 100 miles)
- $2.00 per mile ($200 for 100 miles)
A letter from Keith:
After 31 years as a Registered Nurse and Ear-Nose-Throat Nurse Practitioner for Indian Health Service, I became a nursing instructor at Blackfeet Community College (BCC). It brings me great satisfaction to help mentor and guide the nursing students in the program. That is why I am asking for your help.
As a relatively new nursing program, we have had some growing pains with limited faculty and resources. Many of our nursing students have challenging backgrounds and limited financial resources. Through your pledges and financial support, money raised will help offset student costs for travel and lodging when they visit clinics and hospitals across the state of Montana for clinical trainings, an important part of their learning experience.
I am an avid bicyclist and plan to ride in several 100-mile bike rides this year for pleasure and to raise money for the BCC nursing program. The first, Elephant Rock Ride, is in Castle Rock, Colorado on June 5th (www.elephantrockride.com). Please consider per mile pledges supporting BCC nursing program students. Every cent raised will go to them.
Keith McDivitt, MSN, FNP
